Keeping the Virus and Spyware Definitions Up to Date

By default, the virus and spyware signature definition files are updated every 24 hours. You can also run an update as necessary.

To run a virus and spyware signature definition files update:

1. Open the ANTIVIRUS tab.
2. In the Antivirus Update portion click Update Now.

   The update progress window opens.

3. Click Close when the update is complete.

   If the update fails, you can click Retry to run the update again.

   Note - You can also run the updates from the ZoneAlarm icon in the system tray, or from the main menu toolbar.
