Configuring a Proxy

Important - ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall automatically detects proxy settings. You should enter proxy information only if you have an uncommon proxy configuration, such as a scripted proxy, and if some product features such as anti-virus updates or instant messaging do not work.

To configure a proxy:

  1. Open the ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall software client startup page.
  2. Select Preferences from the Tools drop-down menu.

    The Preferences configuration window opens.

  3. Select Enable Proxy Server.
  4. Enter the IP address and the port number for the proxy server.
  5. Click OK.
