Using the programs list

The programs list provides an overview of the programs on your computer that have tried to access the Internet or the local network. For each program, the list provides detailed information about its current state, trustworthiness, and the functions it is allowed to perform.

You can sort the programs in the list by any column by clicking on column header. As you use your computer, ZoneAlarm security software detects every program that requests network access and adds it to the programs list.

To access the Programs List, select Application Control| View Programs.

Selecting a program name in the list displays program information in the Detail area below the list.

The SmartDefense and Trust Level columns indicate OSFirewall Protection for your computer and specify whether a program is allowed to perform operating system-level actions like changing TCP/IP parameters, loading or installing drivers, or changing your browser’s default settings.
