When will I get warnings about detected dangers?

When warnings are detected, they are shown in the following places, depending on your settings:

  • In ZoneAlarm SocialGuard
  • In your ZoneAlarm SocialGuard Web browser toolbar
  • In email, if you have provided your email address on the General Settings panel and enabled emails for this type of warning in Account Settings

When ZoneAlarm SocialGuard is not running, you do not receive any new warnings. The next time you start ZoneAlarm SocialGuard, any suspicious activity that happened while it was off is detected and the warnings are immediately sent to you.

ZoneAlarm SocialGuard is set to run in the background by default, even when you have the ZoneAlarm SocialGuard window closed.
