What does Potential Stranger mean?

A Potential Stranger is someone who has interacted with your child on Facebook, or has sent them a friend request, but is not friends with many of your child’s friends.

Specifically, a Potential Stranger may even be a Facebook friend of your child, but if they are friends with fewer than two of your kid's friends in any of their social clusters (e.g., classmates), they can be flagged as potential strangers once they attempt to interact with your child.

Note that a Potential Stranger could even be friends with more than two of your child's friends, but there is no social cluster pattern to these friendships.

If you know and trust a flagged Potential Stranger, simply delete the warning in the Warnings panel by clicking the red “x” button next to it.
