Securing your Downloads with Advanced Download Protection

Viruses, botnets, and zero-day threats often come through downloads you initiated unknowingly. Today, scanning for known malware signatures is not enough anymore. To detect the latest, unknown malware, ZoneAlarm security software uses its Advanced Download Protection method and checks all downloaded files against Check Point Program Advisor database.

To turn Advanced Download Protection on or off:

  1. In the IDENTITY AND DATA tab, click Settings for the Web Identity Protections category.

    The Anti-phishing window opens.

  2. Click Advanced Settings in the navigation tree.
  3. Select Check file downloads for spyware to enable Advanced Download Protection, or clear the checkbox to disable it.
  4. Click OK.
