Repairing files in an archive
If the infected file is located in an archive file (such as a .zip file), ZoneAlarm security software will not be able to treat it (either by repairing, deleting, or placing it in Quarantine) while the file is still included in the archive.
To repair a file in an archive:
- Select COMPUTER | Anti-virus & Anti-Spyware, click Settings, then click Advanced Settings.
- Select On-Access Scanning, then select the Enable On-Access Scanning check box.
- Click Apply, then click OK.
- Open the file that was specified in the Scan Results dialog from within an archival utility, such as WinZip.
On-access scanning will scan the file for infections. The Scan Results dialog will appear with the results of the scan. If the file still cannot be repaired, see Treating virus files manually.
